The Happy Prince and Other Tales' is the title of a little volume by Oscar Wilde. The illustrations are by Walter Crane and Jacomb Hood. The contents include The Happy Prince, The Nightingale and the Rose, The Selfish Giant, The devoted [sic] Friend, and The Remarkable Rocket. The tales are apparently written for a purpose, and are more like elaborate fables than fairy stories in the ordinary meaning.
