I have not had time to do more than glance, in the most cursory manner, at 'The Happy Prince and Other Tales,' by Mr. Oscar Wilde, but that which I have seen in turning over the pages of the dainty book, leads me to say with emphasis that the author ought to write a fairy play for acting. He has all the literary gifts and graces requisite for such a work, and his touch in colour and quaintly-expressed form is essentially dramatic. After reading the stories I dare say I shall feel impelled to say that his humour is at once like unto the humour of one Lewis Carrol, and suggestive of that of the author of 'The Ugly Duckling,' with a blend of Oscar [sic] Wild.
