Fairy tales were more popular in former generations than at the present day, but they may still have admirers, and be read by young and old ; the theatres seem to have exhausted most of the interest felt in them, and another kind of spectacular drama, as well as another description of sensational literature, claim attention. Mr. Oscar Wilde has written a volume of stories of this nature, wherein graceful fancies and romantic conceits are woven with appropriate skill.
